October is a busy month for the Pokemon Trading Card Game. The Pokemon Company's official list names six products for the month, four of them on 2 October. Delta Reign prerelease events also begin at participating stores on 24 October, two weeks before the expansion itself arrives on 6 November.
2 October: four products at once
- Mini Portfolio: a binder that holds up to 60 cards, with one booster pack.
- Enhanced 2-Pack Blister: two booster packs and a plastic coin, with foil Gengar, Marshadow and Team Rocket's Mimikyu cards named in the official listing.
- 30th Celebration Mini Tin: two booster packs, a sticker sheet and an art card, in 10 tin designs.
- 30th Celebration Booster Bundle: six 30th Celebration booster packs.
The Mini Tins and the Booster Bundle are the simplest ways to open more 30th Celebration packs after the expansion's 16 September launch. If you are choosing between a bundle and the other sealed formats, our booster box vs ETB vs booster bundle guide explains what each one contains.
23 October: Deck Crafter's Collection
The Deck Crafter's Collection is aimed at players building a competitive deck. The official listing describes 40 tournament-staple cards, made up of a foil Meowth ex and 39 Trainer cards, plus a guide, nine labelled dividers and one booster pack.
24 October: Delta Reign prereleases begin
From 24 October, select Play! Pokemon stores start selling the Mega Evolution-Delta Reign Build & Battle Box, the product used at prerelease events. Each box holds four Delta Reign booster packs, a 40-card ready-to-play deck and one of four foil promo cards: Masquerain, Magmortar, Enamorus or Kommo-o. Prerelease games use a 40-card deck with four Prize cards, instead of the usual 60 cards and six Prizes.
The full expansion follows on 6 November. Our Delta Reign set page tracks what is official so far, and the preorders and prerelease guide explains how the prerelease weeks work.
30 October: Espeon ex and Umbreon ex Battle Decks
The month closes with two 30th Celebration Battle Decks, one built around Espeon ex and one around Umbreon ex. Both are all-foil 60-card decks. According to the official listing, the Espeon ex deck includes a Victini promo card and the Umbreon ex deck includes a Zeraora promo card.

What it means for collectors
None of the October products is a new expansion. The Mini Tins, Booster Bundle and Battle Decks extend 30th Celebration, while the Build & Battle Box is an early look at Delta Reign. If you are collecting 30th Celebration, our 30th Celebration guide covers what the set contains, and the Espeon and Umbreon pages list live eBay listings for both Pokemon across every set we track.
